As the place experiences heavy rainfall a visit to the place after monsoon is recommended. It would then beautifully decorated with mist and wild flowers. The pine forests and the Valanjanganam waterfalls should not be missed out.
Mornings in Kuttikanam are always pleasant. Chatty college goers, hurrying plantation workers, overloaded lorries and sleepy street dogs are the sights at day break. The sunrise view at Kuttikanam is probably the best owing to the high altitude of the place. Waking up to cool, reddish orange rays of the sun, is an experience that each traveller to Kuttikanam would treasure for his life-time.
